What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide containing 15 amino acids. Much of the scientific interest surrounding it originates from experimental research examining tissue and gastrointestinal biology.
What is BPC-157 being researched for?
Preclinical researchers have examined BPC-157 in experimental models involving tendon tissue, ligament biology, muscle injury, gastrointestinal tissue, vascular signalling, inflammatory pathways and tissue repair. These are research subjects, not established therapeutic indications.
What does the evidence show?
The BPC-157 literature contains numerous animal experiments reporting biological effects across several tissue systems. Human clinical evidence is dramatically less developed, and animal evidence should not be presented as proof of human effects.
Evidence status
Cell and animal research are substantial. Robust controlled human research remains very limited.
