CJC-1295 and growth hormone research

GHRH is a hypothalamic signalling peptide involved in stimulating growth-hormone release from the pituitary gland. A randomised controlled study in healthy adults published in 2006 reported prolonged, dose-dependent elevations in measured GH and IGF-1.

The original long-acting CJC-1295 compound contained a Drug Affinity Complex designed to bind to albumin and extend activity. Products described as CJC-1295 without DAC generally refer to a shorter-acting GHRH analogue.
